ACTIVITIES, EVENTS & MORE!

Join us at The Friends Meeting House for a welcoming atmosphere where you can find support, friendship and activities every day. Enjoy delicious lunches, homemade cakes, and hot/cold drinks while relaxing with friends. Participate in board games, dominoes, bingo, table tennis, archery, jigsaws and mindful colouring throughout the week.

Active Mondays

On Monday mornings, Callum from Everyone Active encourages us to get active and participate in a diverse range of activities, from lively table tennis matches to laughter-filled balloon volleyball games, and even tranquil indoor bowls and golf sessions. Alongside these, quick quizzes contribute to our well-being keeping our minds sharp and spirits high.

CreativeThursdays

Join us on Thursday afternoons for captivating sessions led by Jacky, our resident art teacher, as we delve into a variety of arts and crafts.

Friday Gardeners Group

On Friday mornings, the gardeners of the group gather to tend to our raised beds at Shaw House and The Secret Garden in Newbury town centre, dedicating time to weeding, planting, and upkeep.

Coming Up!

Fundraising Coffee Morning
St Nicolas Church Hall, Newbury
Thursday 9th May – 10am-12noon

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week runs from 13th May to 19th May, with the theme “Movement: Move More for Mental Health.” We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been granted £2500 in match funding from the Big Give Kind2Mind Campaign. This means that any funds raised during MHAW, up to £2500, will be matched by them.

We have an array of exciting fundraising events and activities lined up for the week, including a coffee morning, an awareness walk and donation collection in Newbury Town Centre, a quiz night, and an open day where we encourage everyone to wear green in support. Stay tuned for further details on how you can participate and show your support. 🙏
